As a designer, Simon Henningsen followed in the footsteps of his famous father, Poul Henningsen. He was the first real lighting architect to design, among others, the PH Artichoke, the PH 5 and the PH Contrast lamp. Simon Henningsen took over his father’s position as architect of the Tivoli amusement park in Copenhagen in 1948.
