Vintage Design
Made from the usual fiberglass material, with brass details, it has a large diffuser, in the shape of a square dome, connected to the top by means of a brass structure. The central stem and base are in polished brass.
One of the most significant international graphic designers, appreciated for the visual clarity and structural coherence of his projects. Born in Palermo, Sicily, in 1941. He studied at the Liceo Artistico di Brera in Milan and at the School of Arts and Crafts in Zurich. He began working in Milan in the early 1960s as Massimo Vignelli’s first assistant. In the same period he designed all the books published by Milano Libri including the Linus magazine and the Italian edition of Charles Schulz’s Peanuts. In 1965 he joined Unimark International as a junior partner, working with Bob Noorda on numerous corporate identity programs for major clients including Agip and Feltrinelli. He redesigned the logos of Max Meyer and Pirelli and the coordinated image of Banca San Paolo. from 1969 to 1979 he designed the magazine Ottagono for which he was awarded a Compasso d’Oro. In 1989 he left Unimark to found his own firm, Gregorietti Associati.
