The mug is modeled in the unusual Campana form and stands on a circular pedestal foot decorated with a band of foliate motifs. The main body rises to an everted rim and displays a raised crisp band of trailing roses on a matted ground. The handle is beautifully modeled as a serpent coiled around a branch. The mug displays a gilded interior and is fully marked on the side of the main body.
