A composition depicting a vase-shaped wicker basket with a decorative fruit triumph made of wax. The elegant wicker basket contains an arrangement of colored wax fruit. The branches and leaves are made of wire, paper and colored fabric. Among the fruit, we recognize strawberries, lemons, mandarin, bergamot, pear, gooseberries, bunch of grapes and plums. The extreme capacity for realistic creation is particularly evident in the technical and artistic ability. Everything is contained in a glass bell that rests on a round base in ebonized fruitwood. Naples, Italy, first half of the 19th century.
