The pair of side chairs come from the Palazzo Tursi, Genoa. Residence of King Vittorio Emanuele and Queen Maria Teresa. Probably designed by Carlo Randoni (1755-1831). They are upholstered in Black Horsehair. This is from a very large suite of furniture most of which is located at Attingham Park, Shropshire. See FHS Volume LVI 2020 article “Italian Furniture at Attingham Park” by Christopher Rowell and Wolf Burchard pgs. 107-176.
