An early 19th century mahogany bucket bound by two brass bands. Heavy brass handle with decorative ram’s head brass hinges. Coopered and staved construction. Well patinated. Originally used to store turf or peat, and now useful as a kindling bucket, waste basket or even a display container for flowering spring branches.
