This is an important and sophisticated piece of English Georgian furniture. Every discerning gentleman’s library should have one. They were the height of elegance and technology in the Georgian to early Victorian era
The one is a very fine, restored example, the steps are hidden inside the main frame, when folded this is a lovely English writing table with green leather top, when unfolded it becomes a tall library bookcase ladder
Condition wise we have deep cleaned, hand condition waxed and hand polished it from top to bottom, there will be age and use related patina marks here and there as you would expect with a 200+ year old piece, nothing that detracts from the functionality and or charm
