A Regency black and gilt papier mache tray on stand, highly decorated with chinoiserie scenes of figures playing instruments in a garden setting, with pagoda buildings, arch bridge and running river underneath in foliate border. The tray hinged to tilt on an ebonised base with swivel support. Circa 1820.
